Just One Hobby!

      It may seem like my only hobby is photography, but this is far from the truth! I think I have a few too many! Don't know about yall, but I'm that girl that finds a new hobby pretty much daily. From cooking, to sewing, to painting, and redecorating like a billion times!!! My hubby thinks "cleaning" means moving things around and redecorating...hehe!!! Anywho, T and I found some more free time for me to practice with the new camera! So.....

"The Tyler Davis Party"

Ok, so i am posting two blogs in two days! That's like a record for me! :) Anywho, if your not already aware, (since it's all I post) I LOVE to take pictures! It makes me happy AND I just got a new camera!!! My sweet hubby had been saving his money behind my back to buy it for me!!! :) Needless to say, he's the best!

The other day some family and friends celebrated my lil' brothers birthday! His birthday was in March but he was working out of town and we just got the chance to have the party. With that said, let me tell you a little about Tyler. He's a sweet heart deep down but tries to cover it up with his tough side. Ha! Well, for years and years we have joked with him about being "The Tyler Davis" and I mean how cool is that!? If you are a country person, I'm sure you have seen the movie 8 Seconds. It jokes around about the cowboy Lane Frost having his own personalized underwear, lunch box and even boots with his name on it! So, of course Tiff and I are always like, "I got my Tyler Davis lunch box and Tyler Davis underwear!" Haha!!! Sooo, for Tyler Davis' birthday, we got him a lunch box and underwear with his name on it!!! Tyler cracked up! It was awesome and here are a few pics of that fun day!!! Hope you enjoyed this silly story as much as we did!! :)

T and I had a little free time the other day and we decided to take some pics!!! I'm so glad she ALWAYS lets me use her as my "subject!" She's a doll! Here are a few of my favorites!!

Just Some Stuff...

Well, I have been doing a lot of thinking here lately. (Crazy I know right?!) Anywho, I'm sure you all have heard the saying, "When God closes a door He opens a window." I think this is true but most of the time that door is just  our own personal dreams/ plans/ goals. And the window is what God wanted for us all along! This has been my case through out my life. I was just reminiscing about how in the world I become a nurse. I had never wanted to be a nurse. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be an OB/GYN. That was my goal/dream/desire. BUT I wasn't what I was suppose to be, at least for right now. I am suppose to be a nurse for today. One day about two and a half years ago, I decided I would apply to the nursing program because I was not doing well in Chemistry (imagine that). And...I got in! So, off to school I went. I told myself, "well, if I can't be an OBGYN right now, then I will be a Labor and Delivery Nurse. At least I will still get to be around the stuff I love." Fast forward a while, I graduated, applied for Labor and Delivery and Emergeny Room jobs, only got the ER job. So, silly little me was very upset because, I felt like God accidently forgot that  I like babies and laboring mommas not Emergeny Rooms!! BUT once again...God has my life all planned out and here lately I have started LOVING my ER job. And I have prayed and prayed and if I was a betting woman, I would bet that God has put me in the ER because I'm suppose to learn a bunch of skills I wouldn't get elsewhere! Oh ya, and this life really isn't all about me, right?! So, why not use my skills (if you can call it that) to help people for Jesus! So, now my "window" is to work as an ER nurse and continue to see what God wants me to do. Maybe it's mission work, maybe it's helping little babies, maybe it's going back to school! Can't wait to see what I'm going to be used for!!!  More to come!!!! :-)
